Could
this be you? Volunteering is fun and worthwhile.
|
The hospital’s voluntary
services department is looking to recruit volunteers for
guiding and welcoming duties. Perhaps
you’ve got some spare time during the day and are looking
for something worthwhile, that’s also fun, to do?
“We’re looking for people who will work in our
main reception areas, either accompanying patients to their
destination or verbally signpost the way,” says Andrea
MacAlister, Voluntary Services Manager. “Our volunteers
provide an invaluable service to our patients, and as the
hospital grows, we need this team to as well.
“Volunteers are often the first face a patient may
see, and by taking the time to get them to their appointment
they manage to avoid what could be a stressful experience
in what is a very big hospital.
“There are lots of benefits,” she adds. “Volunteering
is very enjoyable and rewarding, and gives you the chance
to meet lots of new people.”
